Form & Habitat Interiors
Long, sunlit living room with a grey sofa, leather ottomans, a low timber table and a clerestory window above

Interiors that feel as good as they look.

We design thoughtful spaces that bring together natural materials, functional layouts, and the details that make a place feel like home.

01The Studio

Good design begins with understanding how a space is lived in.

Every project begins with the people who will use the space. We consider their routines, priorities, and aspirations before making decisions about layout, materials, lighting, and furnishings.

Beauty matters to us, but it is not the starting point. A room earns its calm when the sofa faces the right way, the light falls where it's needed and the storage is where things are actually used. The aesthetic follows from getting those decisions right.

About the studio

02Selected Projects

Homes and workplaces, considered room by room.

Four concept projects that show how we think about layout, material and light. They are illustrative studies for this portfolio, not completed client commissions.

04Philosophy

Considered in every detail.

Function First
A space should support the activities and routines it was designed for.
Material Honesty
Materials, textures and finishes should be selected with their appearance, use and maintenance in mind.
Natural Balance
Light, proportion, colour and texture should work together to create a cohesive environment.
Personal Character
The result should reflect the people who use the space, rather than follow a trend without purpose.

05Transformation

From a blank room to a place to live.

An illustrative comparison using two reference photographs of different rooms. It shows the kind of change we aim for — it does not document a renovation by the studio.

06Our Process

Five stages, one clear path.

This is how a typical full-service project unfolds. The precise scope and sequence depend on the project and on what we're engaged to do — a styling commission, for example, needs only some of these steps.

  1. Stage 01

    Discovery

Understand the client's goals, lifestyle, budget, space and preferences.

  2. Stage 02

    Concept Development

Establish the visual direction, layout ideas, materials and overall design approach.

  3. Stage 03

    Design Development

Refine layouts, furniture selections, finishes, lighting concepts and relevant specifications.

  4. Stage 04

    Implementation Coordination

Coordinate agreed design details with the relevant suppliers, contractors or other professionals.

  5. Stage 05

    Final Styling and Handover

Review the completed space, arrange furnishings where included in the scope, and hand over relevant project information.

How we work, in detail

07How we work

Working principles

  • Thoughtful planning

Decisions are made in a sensible order — plan, then materials, then furniture — so nothing is bought twice.

  • Clear communication

You will know what stage we are at, what we need from you and what happens next.

  • Respect for budgets

We discuss budget early and design to it, flagging trade-offs before they become surprises.

  • Attention to detail

Handles, junctions, switch positions and curtain lengths are considered, not left to chance.

  • Practical material choices

Finishes are chosen for climate, cleaning and wear as well as looks.

The best rooms are rarely the most decorated. They are the ones where the light, the furniture and the routines of the people living there have been given equal thought.
